Got a new toy yesterday, a magellan explorist xl. It has all the bells and whistles, wtih a 3.5 inch color screen, for these old eyes. I played with it at work last night, it looks like it will be alot of fun to use, and very useful.

Hey guys, i've been playing with my new xl, it is sweet. I also got a great deal on it. $307, but the best thing was the 3d topo maps for the usa for $10. The going rate on it is $140, i downloaded all of cal, most of nev, and the northern part of oregon onto a sd card. Stuck it in the gps, Shazaam, i've got maps, right down to the street i live on. Way cool, I'm really looking forward to playing with this thing, i guess i'll have to go riding.
